Not much motivation here today

Well i have been in my scrapbooking area trying to get motivated to create something wonderful but its just not happening today. Its just very simple, I cant think of how to make things have that wow factor today. But here are a few photos anyway. So ladies who scrapbook give me ideas on how you get the creative cap thinking PLEASE

This is a little book Im working on for Liams kindy teacher when he leaves kindy, all the photos in it will be of his time at kindy. I did a handmade album for her of Steven but that was really specail as Steven grew so much and really came out of his own world in the time he was at kindy.

I will add writing to each page, just have to think about what I want to say

I scraplift when my mojo's gone and left me...I'm just curious Alison, do you use visuals with Steven? I love his mazes, what amazing detail. And I had a wee giggle when I read about the Thomas spoon, I have taught a huge number of children with ASD (at one point four in the morning session and five in afternoons - thats a lot of meetings with GSE!) and only one of them wasn't a Thomas fan...

Yes I scraplife too, but i cant even find motivation for that today. Yes I started using visuals for steven once he was diagnosed, and he loves them. I use real pictures not the cartoon sort of pictures that some people use. Even now i use visuals for Stevne and a few posts down ther is a picture of a visual that he has on his draw to stop him form pulling clothes out of them, and even now after 3 1/2years of using visuals im amazed at how well they work for him. Steven has never been much of a Thomas fan but for some reason has to have that spoon on Sunday. WOW that would be alot of meetings with GSE, I still have contact with Stevens EIT, she is lovely and still surpports me with Steven and school, oh how i loved kindy so much support and willingness to try anything to help Steven, but school well that is another whole world ah.

I love that wee album! Great idea.

When my mojo is gone, I look through online galleries and magazines and that is usually enough to get me feeling like I want to create something. Like Trace, I will do a sketch or scraplift sometimes. You can scraplift yourself too, if you really like a certain layout. And going to a crop can often help, just being with other like-minded people. But eventually the mojo returns (and it's never away for long these days!)

I am a big time scraplifter. Struck it yesterday and ended up going through all my magazines and favourites on the computer. Have hit a run of photos of Aaron all wearing yellow with blue in the background and the layouts are all starting to look the same!!!

Opps i see in my first comment i put scraplife, lol. OKay today is a new day, and i have my mags out to look through. I have added another cupbaord to my space so i have more room and storage. So hopefully i get creative, Im still not 100% with yesterdays effort but steven did enjoy writing on his school page, even though he didnt want to write what i wanted and it took some work to convince him to write what he did.

Looking for a little help ... try one of the 'sketch blogs' and now that I've just said that, can't think for the life of me a full website ... google, little book of sketches.

You will be amazed at what you can do when you see a sketch. Remember tho that you don't have to follow the sketch exactly as they have it ... play with positioning different embellishments and papers.

Most of all, have fun.
