Sick

Liam is sick and home from school again this week, he has tonsillitis again. Went to the doctors yesterday morning as the night before he had high temp and was complaining of sore throat again. Doctors checked him over and said its not bad enough to give him any antibiotics, just give him pamol and honey in hot water to drink. By 4.20 he was very hot and had no energy and not himself, took his temp and it was 38.4 so rang the doctors and they said to bring him down. We saw the same doctor as this morning, again he took his temp and looked at his throat this time he said yes his temp is high and his throat is worse and has pus spots on it now so we will give him some antibiotics now. GRRRRRRR....poor Liam to have to get worse before given any meds. Sometimes I think doctors need to listen to mums because we do know our kids best don't we, and I knew Liam wasn't himself because when he is unwell he gets upset over the littlest things and just burst into tears which he was doing. Then they tried to charge me the second time I went and I said no way I was in here this morning for the same problem why should i have to pay again, so out of the 3 receptionist 1 said don't pay and the other 2 say pay...so i went with the one who said don't pay. But Liam has meds now and is on the mend but home from school for this week...here's hoping this will be the last of the sickness in this house hold for awhile, it gets so expensive and all this time off school isn't good.
And just so this post isn't a vent about the doctors here are a couple of photos, the first one is Liam this morning when I got up and he was wrapped up in his favourite blanket reading one of the books we got form the library yesterday.


Yesterday Liam and I had lunch on the deck and he wanted it to be a picnic so got the picnic blanket out of the car for lunch. After eating we got pillows, had a rest enjoying the sun.....lol notice the socks, slippers and jacket I have taken off cause it got so hot.
